Betty Worrell

Betty was a longtime worker in the nursery at the First Baptist Church in Burnet where she later retired after many dedicated years of service.

Her hobbies and pastimes included bingo, art, personal care days, cards and reading. She loved kids, most especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed being a roommate with Peggy Posten.

Betty is survived by her sons James Worrell and wife Jean of Bertram, William (Bill) Worrell, Robert Worrell and Randy Worrell, all of Austin. Also surviving are granddaughter Nikita Wells and husband Anthony, great grandson Ryder Wells, granddaughter Brittany Bowie, great granddaughters Desaree Bowie and Deonna Bowie, grandsons Zachary Worrell, Matthew Smith and girlfriend Lydia West and daughter, Blossom, and Isaiah Worrell. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband George Worrell, and sister Lenial “Lynn” Hilley.

The visitation for Betty will be held Friday October 25 from 6-8 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday October 26 at 10 am in the Chapel of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with Chaplain Robert Lovelady officiating. Interment will follow at Pebble Mound cemetery.

Those named as pallbearers were James Worrell, Isaiah Worrell, Randy Worrell, Matthew Smith, Wayne McDonald and Zachary Worrell.
