Billy Haywood

Billy "Bill" Ray Haywood 57, of Burnet lost his battle with cancer Thursday February 2, 2012 in Round Rock, TX. He will be missed by many friends and loved ones. Bill loved being outside fishing and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being around family and friends. Bill traveled all his life as a truck driver and later in life traveling to Texas, Arizona and Mississippi to visit everyone. Bill was happiest when everyone would get together and he could cook huge dinners for them. Bill enjoyed life living and embracing it everyday to the fullest. Bill was survived by ex-wife and mother of his children Shirley Haywood, daughter Billie Jean Pitts and son-in-law Rodney Pitts of Collinsville,MS Son Jason Haywood and daughter-in-law Carrie Haywood of Burnet, TX Son Kevin Haywood of Burnet, TX Sister Doris Hughes and brother-in-law Fred Hughes of Sierra Vista, AZ Brother Roy Haywood of Florida. Grandchildren Cody Pitts, Mollee Dykes, Emily Pitts, Bradley Haywood, and Candace Pitts. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was Predeceased by his parents John and Lillie Haywood of Lumberton, NC and brother Hoyte Haywood of Lumberton, NC. Graveside services will be held at Post Mt. Cemetery, Burnet, TX at 1 PM on Saturday February 4th. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Lighthouse Hospice and Seton Williamson County ICU for the care and compassion they provided Bill in his last days.
