Survived by his caring wife, Barbara Katherine (Thomas) Luke; children, Sandra Michele (Aaron) Melton of Valley Mills, TX, Steven Dean (Tara) Luke of Burnet, TX, and John Paul Luke of Burnet, TX; grandchildren, Tyler Wills, Sarah Ann Wills, Ashleigh Wills, Brooke Wills, Heidi Jo Luke, James Luke, Martin Luke, Wyatt Luke, and Riley Luke; step-grandchildren, Kat Melton, and Ethan Melton; and great-granddaughter Lilah Jo Watkins.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Barney (Ruth) Luke, Billy (Sandra) Luke, Jesse (Brenda) Luke, Carolyn (Wayne) Jean, Linda (Butch) Turner, Sarah (Gayland) Hamilton; nieces and nephews; and special cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents G.J. Luke and Delia Juanita (Richerson) Luke, baby brother James Luke, and niece Barbara Ann Luke.
Butch was the patriarch of his immediate family and lived most of his life in Burnet, TX where he owned and operated Hill Country Paving with his two sons. He was a charitable man with a soft heart for animals or anyone in need. He loved to laugh and pick fun. He loved to make people smile.
He was a loving son…who honored his mother and father.
He was a loyal brother…who loved unconditionally.
He was a devoted husband…who loved his wife dearly.
He was a selfless father…who was always there, no matter what.
He was a giving grandfather…who gave his love abundantly.
He was the fun uncle…who could always be counted on to make you laugh and smile.
He was the close cousin…who always loved to visit.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation for Butch will be held Monday, January 31, 2022, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home located at 306 E. Polk St., Burnet, TX 78611.
A funeral service, also held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet will occur on Tuesday, February 01, 2022, at 11:00AM.
He will be laid to rest at the Liberty Hill Cemetery located at 16101 Hwy 29, Liberty Hill, TX 78642 immediately following the funeral service.
