Darrell taught school for 20 years and after retirement became a builder and a rancher. He was a lifelong member of Bertram Church of Christ where he served as deacon and elder.
He is survived by his wife Marie Montgomery , son Arlan and wife Beth Montgomery all of Bertram, daughter Ellen and husband John Agan of Temple, grandchildren Levi Montgomery, Brooke Whitehead, Cole Montgomery, Lance Agan and Reid Agan, and 10 great grandchildren.
Services for Darrell will be held Monday February 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Bertram Church of Christ with interment to follow at South San Gabriel Cemetery.
