Gary Wayne Ashby

Gary Wayne (G.W.) Ashby, age 64, passed away at his home on Thursday December 9th, 2021. Gary was born June 28, 1957 in Littlefield, Texas. He had lived in the Burnet area since 1964; moving from Dimmitt, Texas where his parents farmed.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Curtis Ashby in December 2018, sisters Teresa Jean Ashby Byerly in July 2003 and Stella Dawn Ashby Dooley in July 2013, and brother-in-law Walter Allen Dooley in May 2014. His beloved Maternal Grandmother Estelle Brasher and Paternal Grandparents Curtis and Bernice Ashby.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Jean Brasher Ashby. His children, Curtis Wayne Ashby, Marlena Jean Ashby, Shawn Elvis Ashby, Kendra Lynn Bostick, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. His brother Ralph Steven Ashby of Waco, Texas, brother-in-law Jerry Byerly with wife Johnnie, nieces Michele Winkelmann, and Sherrie Clark, nephews Cody Byerly, Chad Ashby, Justin Ashby, Bryan Dooley and many friends.

A memorial service honoring the life of Gary Wayne Ashby will be held at a later date.
