

Jack was raised in and around Burnet and Lake Victor. He worked as a projectionist at the movie theater in Burnet and later got a job in management at the old Mathis Air Condition Factory in Marble Falls. Jack attended Southwest Texas State University where he played on the football team.
He moved to Euless where he spent many years working for the Thompson Can Co. He enjoyed participating in his children’s sports activities and enjoyed coaching youth football and baseball. While living in Euless he earned his private pilot license and did lots of flying.
Jack retired back to Burnet and Lake Victor in 1993 and kept himself busy in the construction business, mainly concrete construction. Jack served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was a Master Mason for over 60 years. He was a member and past Master of Lake Victor Lodge No. 1011 AF & AM.
Jack is survived by his sons Dale Stanford and wife Cynthia of Houston, Fred Stanford and wife Dalinda of Kingsland, Paul Stanford of Euless, and daughter Donna Smith and husband Dean of Denver, Colorado. Jack is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends of Jack will be held from 5 to 7 Wednesday evening November 12 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon November 13 at 2 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with Masonic Burial Services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
