James Bowen

James was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Bonnie Bowen, two Brothers Frank and Bill Bowen two sisters Doris Estep and Judy Williams, Son-in-law Scott Jordan and the two loves of his Life Loretta Bowen and Kathy Bowen.

James is survived by daughter Lidwina Hodges and husband Jimmy of WV, daughter Sydney Robinson and husband John of PA, daughter Patti Jordan of TX, son Michael Holcomb and wife Rachel of TX, two sisters Effie Jordan of TX, Sandy Brightwell of WV, and Brother Daniel Bowen of OH. James also had the wonderful joy of 6 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.

James was raised in St Albans WV until he enlisted at the age of 17 in the United States Army. After serving his country for 20 + years including stents served in Vietnam, James retired and found his home in Burnet TX since 1987 where he resided until his death on May 19th 2014.

Services for James were held 10:00 AM at First Lutheran Church of Burnet on Saturday May 24, 2014.

The entire Family would like to thank everyone for all of the kind words and prayers they have received over the past days.
