Joseph James Venne

June 3, 1991 – September 23, 2011

Joe “Joey” Venne, 20, of Bertram died September 23, 2011. He was born in York, Pennsylvania on June 3, 1991 to Stanley and Allison Venne.

He was a resident of Bertram, an Assistant Manager at Sonic Drive-In, a student at Central Texas College and was going to the University of Texas in San Antonio in January. Joe moved to Bertram with his family in July of 2004. He attended Burnet schools and graduated in 2010. He was a member of The Hill Country Fellowship Church.

Joe touched lives and hearts. He didn’t judge or condemn – he accepted. He was a young man, wise beyond his years, who left an impression on everyone who met him.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his loving sister Hannah and his dearest friend Josh Gollnick.

He is the beloved grandson of Joseph and Maureen Hunter and Edmund and Kathleen Venne.

Survivors also include his aunts; Rebecca Leharani, Joanne Hunter-Gibb, Stephanie Roland, Mary Lou Venne, Margie Venne and Kimberley Venne, his uncles; Doug Venne, Karim Leharani, Stephen Gibb and Mike Roland and his cousins; Alexis, Zach, Djamel, Austin, Kayla, Makenzie, Zoe and Graeme. He will be loved and missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his uncle James Venne.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet from 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be held at the Hill Country Fellowship Church on Friday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the Hill Country Foundation Scholarship Fund.
