

J.W. McCaslin 92 of Tow, Texas died peacefully in his home on August 19, 2011. He was born May 19, 1919 in San Marcos, Texas. J.W. “Jake” was a decorated veteran of WWII. He married Rachel Lenora Kyle Oct 23, 1938. They were married for almost 60 years spending their best days hunting, fishing and enjoying their family. He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel in 1997, his sister Bernice Polvado and brother Marvin McCaslin. He is survived by his daughter and caregiver Gerry Lee Watson of Tow, Texas, son John William McCaslin and wife Jodie of Salem,Oregon, his brother Everett McCaslin, sisters Waldene Atkinson, Mary Blackmon and Jeanette Benningfield, Alice Bryant, grandchildren Ben Watson Jr. and wife Denise, John Watson and wife Shelby, Judy Mauldin, Deidre McCaslin, Shauna Purcell and husband David, Katy Torkornoo and husband Benaiah and Aidan McCaslin, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.
Graveside services at Bluffton Cemetery, Bluffton Texas at 10am August 22, 2011.
Pallbearers will be Todd Mauldin, Chase Watson, Jonathan Watson, Kramer Watson, Gene Courtney, Dalton Huffstuttler and honorary pallbearer, Gage Watson
