Mary Helen found solace and inspiration in the study of astrology and horoscopes. Her fascination with the celestial bodies was not merely academic but a deeply spiritual journey, guiding her through life's joys and challenges. Despite her love for the stars, she remained steadfast in her faith as a devoted Christian, finding harmony between the teachings of the heavens and the wisdom of her faith.
Beyond her spiritual pursuits, Mary Helen was a free spirit who cherished the open road. She found liberation and joy in riding her motorcycle, the wind in her hair and the open sky above her. Each journey was a testament to her adventurous spirit and fearless determination.
An advocate for all creatures great and small, Mary Helen had a special connection with animals. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she extended her love and care to furry friends in need, embodying the true essence of kindness and generosity.
Above all else, Mary Helen will be remembered for her boundless love and unwavering compassion. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her, and her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire us all.
She leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her husband, Randall Meeks, her children, Nikol Meeks, Trevor Meeks, and Kenneth Meeks and her grandchildren Mikayla, Randee, Emily, and Wyatt as well as her two surviving sisters, Elanore Atwood and Anna Urquhart and their children who find solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace, riding among the stars, her spirit forever free.
A celebration of Mary Helen's life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Burnet on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at 10:00am, where friends and family will come together to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable journey.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Mary Helen will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light and a source of love eternal. Rest in peace, dear Mary Helen, as you journey on among the stars.
1 Corinthians 13:4–8a (ESV) Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
