Mary Ybarra Ibarra

Mary Ybarra Ibarra, 66 of Burnet, Tx passed away on Friday May, 9th, 2025 in San Marcos, Tx. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones. Mary was born in Briggs, Tx on April 30th, 1959 to Disadora and Gregorio Ybarra. She was the 18th child out of 21 children. She attended Burnet Schools. She met her husband Alvino Sr at a dance in 1977 and it was loved at first sight. They married on September 14th, 1978 in Lampasas, tx.

Her biggest accomplishment was her children. She loved spending time celebrating her friends and family. She was always the life of the party. Her strength came from her devout faith in our lord. Her prayers were answered when she was blessed with her grandchildren. They were her entire world. She enjoyed morning coffees with her husband, sleepovers with her sisters, phone calls from her family, garage sales, scary movies and dancing to spanish music.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Disadora and Gregorio Ybarra. Sisters Lydia, Tina, Monica, Lala and Lucy. Brothers John and Paul. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alvino Ibarra Sr. Daughter Francis Ibarra, Son Alvino Ibarra Jr. and Wife Danielle Ibarra. Three Grandchildren Avli, Emeri And Braedin. She is also survived by Sisters Francis, Chonie, Dominga, Lupe, Janie, Kathy, Susie, and Barbara. Brothers George, Joe, Mike and Santos. And numerous godchildren, nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be at Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet Tx on Thursday, May 15th from 6-8pm with the Rosary beginning at 7pm. Funeral will be Friday at 10am at Our Mothers of Sorrow Catholic Church in Burnet, Tx. Followed by burial at Post Mountain Cemetery.
