Patsy was born on September 9, 1937, in Joppa, Texas to Ferman and Manuela (Solis) Sandobal. A lifelong resident of Bertram, Patsy graduated high school in 1957 and went on to attend nursing school, earning her licensed vocational nurse (LVN) certification. She spent the next 30 years working at Shepperd Memorial Hospital in Burnet, Texas.
A born caregiver, her sweet disposition and gentle heart served her well throughout her career and is also what her family will miss the most about her. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, tìa, and friend.
She married the love of her life, Noel Don Wooten, in 1972 and had Michael the following year.
Patsy had a green thumb and loved planting trees and taking care of her plants and flowers. She was an avid sports fan and loved to cheer for the Dallas Cowboys (whether they won or lost) and the Atlanta Braves. Her biggest joy came from spending time with family and her radiant smile will be sorely missed.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents Ferman and Manuela (Solis) Sandobal and father and mother-in-law Otis and June (Montgomery) Wooten. Also preceding her in death are brothers Remijio and Basilio Sandobal, and brother-in-laws Arnold Salinas, Francisco Peña, and Terry Wooten.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Don Wooten, as well as her beloved sisters Loretta, Paula, Fidelia, and their respective families, as well as sister-in-law Pat Burton.
Also surviving Patsy is her son Michael, daughter-in-law Susan and her daughter Lyndon, and beloved grandson Samuel, as well as stepson Tony Wooten and his wife Annie.
A viewing and rosary will be held to honor Patsy on October 10 from 6-8 at Clements-Wilcox in Burnet.
Serving as Pallbearers for Patsy will be Darrell Flores, Robert Salinas, John Sandobal, Javier Sanchez, Nicholas Sanchez, John McGinty, and Sierra Flores.
Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, October 11 at 1pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church (520 Highway 29 in Bertram).
Burial will immediately follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
