Phillip Marcus Simpson passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022, after a long battle with cirrhosis of the liver. He was born to Connie Lester and Geniva Hays Simpson in Burnet, Texas, on March 16, 1964. Phillip had recently moved from Austin to Burnet to live with his family near a slow running creek that drew beautiful doe deer and free range cattle.
From 16 years of age, Phillip worked in the auto parts business where he made many life-long friends. In his journey through this life, he had two children, son, Terry Lynn and daughter, Michelle Leigh, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Connie, his grandparents, Lee and Winnie Hays, Virgil and Ula Mae Simpson, and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother, Geniva, who provided him with loving care throughout his illness. Other survivors are his brother, Richard (Nancy), sister, Marcy (David), nephews Trey (Stephanie) and Dylan, and niece, Erika.
His sense of humor, love of sports, and friendship will be deeply missed by family and friends.
There is no service planned at this time.
