

Ralph M. Meyer went to heaven to be back in the loving arms of his beloved wife June on the morning of July 29th, 2012 in Burnet, Texas. He was born August 17, 1924, in Tulane, South Dakota to Hugo A. Meyer and Lola M. Knight.
Ralph served in the United States Army in the 115th Infantry Division during WWII. He served in battles in Rome-Arno, Southern France, the Rhineland, and Central Europe. He married June Hancock in November of 1947, and they spent most of there married life in Selah, Washington. Later in life he retired from the Naches/Selah Irrigation District and he and June retired to Yakima. Ralph was a natural at almost everything he did. He loved to golf, dance, bowl, play cards and enjoy life. He was an amazing father, grandfather and friend.
After June passed away in 1996, Ralph became good friends with Rose Hards of Naches where the two lived happily until June of 2012 when he moved to Burnet to be with his daughter, granddaughters and great grandchildren. We thank Rose from the bottom of our hearts for everything.
Ralph was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of almost 50 years June A. Meyer, his beautiful daughter Margaret Ann Witt, his grandson B.J. Young, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his daughter Kathy Mallari of Burnet, granddaughters Shannon Davis and Erin Lunsford of Burnet, grandchildren Kristi, Jason, Cindy and Kimmie; 9 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, sisters Gleva and Edna, nephew Ron Meyer and niece Diana Hurd and families, Bull Stockton and family, Roger and Maridee Pearson and family along with many other family members and friends too numerous to name. At his request he is being cremated and at a later date will be laid to rest next to his wife June at Terrace Heights in Yakima, Washington.
