

Ronald Paul Frioux, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2024 at St David Medical Center in Austin, TX, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.
Born in Port Arthur, TX on May 17th, 1949, to Peary and Dolores Frioux, Ron embarked on a life journey that took him through Europe, Oklahoma and other parts of Texas before settling in San Antonio.
A proud graduate of John Marshall High School in San Antonio, TX, Ron's journey led him to the University of Texas at San Antonio before he answered the call to serve his country, joining the Air Force Reserves. After his service, Ron returned to Port Arthur where he commenced his illustrious career with Texaco. Through numerous owner and name changes, Ron remained a steadfast employee, retiring in 2010 after 42 years of dedicated service, at what had become Shell Oil.
Ron's passion for his work extended beyond retirement as he embarked on a new chapter, providing freelance petroleum consulting overseas with Bechtel until the time of his passing.
While Ron's professional accomplishments were significant, it was his love for God, Family, NASCAR, and UT football, in that order, that truly defined him. After relocating from Southeast Texas and fulfilling his dream of retiring to the Texas Hill Country, in 2010, he became and was a faithful member of Bertam First United Methodist Church, volunteering his leadership skills wherever they were needed. Ron exemplified compassion and community spirit through his 13-year commitment to Meals on Wheels, his involvement as a former member of the Marble Falls Rotary Club.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Cathy, his children and grandchildren, Alison Ousterhout, Bella and John Harris, Jason Frioux, his wife Stacey, Noah, Jaci, and Rainey, Kevin McCord, his wife Stephanie, Abby, and Max, Lindsey Frioux, Kennedy, Kendall, and Brody, and great-grandson Rage. He is also survived by his brother Larry Frioux, his wife Linda, sister Carolyn Selfridge, in-laws Tracy Blaine Lege and Randy Broussard, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In honoring Ron's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a cause close to their hearts. The Blessing Box - A special spot that offers assistance to those in need. A true testament to Ron’s commitment to serving his community even beyond his passing.
