Miss Wolf passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014 in Burnet, Texas. Ruth was a third generation rancher born on October 30, 1915 to Thomas S. Wolf and Hibernia Moreland Wolf.
Her pioneer family has continuously farmed, raised cattle, sheep and goats, in Burnet County, since 1883. During the long life she was blessed with, Ruth enjoyed oil painting, sewing and baking. Ruth loved working in her flower beds and manicuring the lawn. Not too many years ago, Ruth could be seen frequently on her big, red riding lawnmower, cutting the grass, at the home she shared with her sister Kate, on north Main Street in Burnet.
Ruth was predeceased by her three sisters, Ernestine Wolf, Kate Wolf, Edna Wolf Pabst and one brother Ben (Buck) Wolf. Survivors include two nieces and several cousins.
Family graveside service and internment will be at Bethel Cemetery on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. officiated by the Rev. Dawn Rosignal.
Family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and friends, at Country Oaks Hamilton Creek assisted living, for their years of love and care.
For those who wish, memorials in Ruth's honor may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or their charity of choice.
Arrangements made with Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
