Salvador Hernandez, beloved father and husband, 76, of Burnet Texas, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022. On his final day, he was surrounded by his children and wife, who he adored more than anything else in the world.
Sal will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Gennave, daughter Jeanette and son Adam and wife Misty, grandsons Tristen, Kyle, Gavin, Tad and Great Granddaughter Selena. His surviving siblings Henry, Eugene and Mary and numerous nieces and nephews of whom all thought of him fondly. Sal was predeceased by his parents Maleno and Antonia, siblings Emmett, Elena, and Dale Hernandez.
He was active with Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church and was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus with whom he offered his services to the community. He was a proud army veteran. He was a master stonecutter and mason for over 25 years. He never met a stranger and you had the greatest honor if you were given a nickname. Just like he dealt with all experiences with life, he managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. He will missed by many.
A rosary will be recited on Friday February 4 at 7 pm at Clements- Wilcox Funeral Home at 306 East Polk St. and a celebration of life mass will be held on February 5 at 10 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 507 Buchanan Dr, Burnet TX, 78611 with reception to follow at Parish Hall.
Care has been entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
