

Tamera Ann McElroy was born in Houston to Edward M. McElroy and Elizabeth Ann (Montgomery) McElroy on September 7, 1959. Tami, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, lost a gallant and prolonged fight to cancer December 7, 2015 at age 56.
Tami leaves behind two wonderful children, Jason E. Moore of Burnet and Katheryn Ann Moore of Houston and two precious grandchildren James E. Moore of Marble Falls and Rilyn E. Moore of Corpus Christi. She is survived also by her father Edward M. McElroy of Burnet, sister Lori B. Garabieta and her husband Inaki of Cypress,TX and brother Jack McElroy and his wife Lynda of Beaumont. Tami also leaves behind many other close relatives and friends who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her mother Ann.
Tami graduated from Lamar High School in Houston in 1978. She was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and is remembered as a creative and artistic person. Tami worked in the insurance and hospital industry and had lived in Burnet for the past 15 years.
A Memorial Service in memory of Tami will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday January 16, 2016, at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Burnet officiated by Rev. B.J. Tapley and her lifelong friend and cousin Rev. Dr. Eileen Theilig.
