

Theresa Ann (Mohan) Ham was born to Bernard and Ruby Mohan on January 27, 1954 in Germany. Theresa passed away at her home in Burnet, Texas, on November 7, 2010 after a year-long battle with cancer at the age of 56.
The daughter of an Air Force pilot, Theresa lived in Germany until the Mohan family returned to the United States and eventually settled in Burnet, Texas, in 1969, when she was in 9th grade. Theresa met Steve Ham at Burnet High School, where they graduated in 1972. Theresa married Steve on 12/29/1973 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. After they graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1976, they lived in Midland briefly where they started their family of four sons and she began a 29-year teaching career. They returned to Burnet where she taught at Burnet High School for 24 years. She was working in West Columbia when she retired from teaching. When she fell ill, Theresa was working as a 33rd Judicial Court Probation Officer at the Intermediate Sanction Facility in Burnet. Theresa was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, a dedicated teacher, an avid supporter of the Burnet swim team, and a faithful member of Our Mother of Sorrows. She enjoyed reading, music, camping, travelling with her family and friends, crocheting and she loved Christmas.
Theresa is survived by her husband of 37 years, Steve Ham; four sons: Joshua and wife Renee and son John Robert Ham of Killeen, Andrew Ham of Katy, Benjamin and his wife Kasey Ham of Smithwick, and Thomas and wife Chelsi Ham of Katy; her mother, Ruby Mohan of Burnet; two brothers: John and wife Donna Mohan of Florida and Tim and wife Karen Mohan and their three children of Burnet; sister Kathleen and husband Stephen Palmour and their four daughters of Burnet.
She is preceded in death by her father, Bernard Mohan.
Rosary will be conducted at the Clements-Wilcox at 7 pm Friday, November 12, 2010 with visitation beginning at 6 pm. The funeral mass will begin at 10 am at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet, Texas, Saturday, November 13, 2010 followed by a private graveside service at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to assist her son Benjamin, who is battling cancer. Donations may be sent to the Benjamin Ham Benefit Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank, Benjamin Ham Benefit Account.
