

Born April 6, 1941, in Leander, Texas, Tommy Gene Whitt, a long time resident of Liberty Hill went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Tommy was a Master Plumber by trade and retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union #286.
Tommy was the fourth of eight children born to Alvin & Ira Whitt. He was preceded in death by his father Alvin E. Whitt, mother Ira Johns Whitt and brother Jackie Whitt.
Tommy is survived by daughter Sabrina Jordan & husband Rick, son Cliff Whitt & wife Kim and son Thomas Whitt. Six grandchildren-Shannon Ponton, Lance Jordan, Phillip Jordan, Brittney Ryder, Zach Whitt and Shaye Whitt and 6 great grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Harry “Bud” Whitt and wife Alice, Kenneth “Skeeter” Whitt and wife Rose, Joyce Anderson & husband Doyle, A.C. “Chigger” Whitt and wife Pam, David Whitt, and J.D. Whitt and wife Jeanette. Tommy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Tommy’s love was lending a helping hand to those in need and drinking coffee with his friends at the local coffee shops. He was a jack of all trades and his passion was building projects from the ground-up, hunting, and gardening. He will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held at Liberty Hill Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, with Pastor Howdy Byars officiating. Open viewing and visitation will be available Tuesday, May 1st from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Burnet, TX.
