
Verlon grew up in and around Llano County and joined the Army age 17. He was a tank commander during his service from 1941 to 1946. He moved to Burnet in the early 1950’s and was owner and operator of Reagor Air Conditioning, founded in 1973. He was a Master Mason and member of Valley Lodge No. 175 A.F. & A.M. in Burnet.
Verlon was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Doris Reagor in 2006. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Cox of Burnet and Pasadena; sons Verlon Reagor, Jr. and Ken Reagor, both of Burnet, and daughter Pam Rawlins of Heidenheim. Other survivors include sisters Linda Carta of Llano, Lila Lee Sprott of San Angelo, Joyce Davidson of Big Spring, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by ex-wife Louise Reagor.
A graveside service and burial for Verlon will be held Wednesday, November 30th at the Post Mountain Cemetery officiated by Darrell Debo.
