Alan was born on January 20, 1951 to Joseph and Jeanette. He graduated from Humbolt State with a BA in Forestry and later, in 2008 obtained his Masters Degree in Accounting. Al retired from the California Log Scaling and Grading Bureau and continued his accounting business, Al's Income Tax Service, in Burney, for over 35 years. Alan also devoted much of his time to the Burney Chamber of Commerce; most recently serving as their acting Treasurer. Community service was an important aspect of his life and he often looked for ways that he could be a positive influence in his community.
Al took great pride in his yard and loved making it look like a well manicured golf course. (Christopher) "Dad for a great father, grandfather, and best friend. I love you with all my heart and miss you tremendously. I will see you soon and we will get our golf game in dude. I know you're happy and smiling down on all of us with a beer in hand. Love, Chris Brenda and Teegan and new baby." Our father lived with dignity and honesty. Family and community were his driving forces and where he found his strength. (Amberly's children) "We love you Grandpa and all the fun memories will be charished in our hearts forever! Love from us, Aly Oopie, Pooh Bear and Izy"
In addition to his three beloved children, Timothy Bavetta, Amberly Bavetta, and Christopher Bavetta; all of Redding, CA, Al is also survived by numerous grandchildren of whom he doted on. He also leaves behind many cherished friends and a caring community. He was predeceased by his parents, Jeanette and Joseph, as well as his brother Patrick, and sister Virginia.
It was Al’s wish to have no formal services; however, the family will be having a Celebration of Life at a later date, as yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give time back to your community and spend quality time with those that you love. Our loving dad will undoubtedly be missed greatly by all those hearts and lives that he touched. Memorial donations can be made to the Alan Bavetta Scholarship Fund that is being established at US Bank in Burney.
"We loved you Dad and all your time spent with us will be cherished!"
Lovingly your kids,
Timothy, Amberly, and Christopher
