

August 24, 2011 at the Crum Ranch in Pittville. He was the son of Orville and Alice Crum. Bill spent his entire life in the Fall River Valley except for the years he spent in college.
Bill graduated from FRHS in 1960. While in high school he was active in 4-H, FFA, and played a year of football. Bill graduated from Chico State in 1964. He then attended graduate school at Oregon State University. Bill left Oregon to return to Pittville to work on the family ranch.
In 1969 Bill married Elisabeth (Liz) Schmidt.
Bill was deeply involved in the community. He belonged to the McArthur Volunteer Fire Department, the Resource Conservation District ct, the Hay Growers, and the Cattlemen. Bill was an avid wood-worker. He also loved to read about history and visit museums. Most of all, Bill loved to be out on the ranch checking the crops and cattle. Bill was a wonderful story teller and loved to share stories with his grandchildren. Bill also loved to fish and visit his beloved Pine Creek.
Bill is survived by his wife Elisabeth (Liz), children Donald Flynn of Pittville, Catherine Crum Turner and husband Richard of McArthur, Donna Crum of Pittville, Samuel Crum and wife Ellen of Oregon, Alice Crum Linlor of San Marcos, and Jody Crum Brown and husband William of Elk Grove. He was preceded in death by son Francis (Frank) Crum of Moulton, Alabama.
He is also survived by grandchildren Michael Turner, Alisha Turner Skelly, Thomas Turner, Larissa Flynn, Elisabeth Eye, Cody Crum, August Brown, and Alexandra Linlor, his mother-in-law Grace Tobin, and his sister and brother-in-law Muriel and Buz Eades, nephews Kevin Eades and Cory Eades, and nieces Cheri Relph and Kelly St. John.
