Dear Gert and Family,
Art's passing brought back warm memories  of the late 60s, when we lived in Byron and attended church with you.
Then when we decided to move to Grand Rapids in 1971, we were blessed to know a realtor we could trust.  It was Art who located a great house for us , which became home to us , our four children and several foster children.   We lived there for 25 years and now live in Cutlerville.

My deepest sympathies to Aunt Gert and the whole family! I have warm memories of Uncle Art and Aunt Gert and the huge family reunion gatherings they use to have at their home. They were always so friendly to me (I remember that, even as a kid!). I appreciated their faith in the Lord Jesus and sharing that with me. May God bless you all, and comfort you and encourage you, and fill your hearts for the glorious day of resurrection in which all of us in Christ shall meet again. What a day that will be! Dear Gert,
I met your husband Art at Dr. Auburn’s office during our IV treatments last winter when I was going through cancer treatments. We got talking one day and found that though we had both attended People’s Church and didn’t remember meeting, we knew many of the same people. We had such good conversations about many dear friends we shared and ministries we were involved with. My husband Rusty knew Art, being a fellow realtor and enjoyed chatting with him about the business and other fellow realtors when he would come to pick me up. This summer when I was going through a very difficult time with my chemo treatment, Art encouraged me that you & he had been praying for me and were rejoicing that I had been touched by the Lord and was doing so well. Art was always kidding with all the nurses, and you could see he was one of their favorite patients. As I’m sure you know, he was a true joy to be around- I will miss visiting with him during my IVs. Please know that Rusty & I will be praying for you and your family, the dear people that Art left behind and was always lovingly talking about. What a comfort to know he is now resting in the arms of Jesus and you will someday all be together again. I trust you are blessed by sharing in the Godly heritage he has left to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren...

I was elected (25) as Byron Township Supervisor and Assessor in 1980.  I didn't know Art; but, he was very helpful to a young guy in a new office.  I remember he could give advice without pushing it to the limit like so many do.  Art was a very good guy.  I always enjoyed him stopping by the office.  Dan Hibma

I am saddened to hear of Arts passing, I have had the pleasure of working with Art on numerous transactions over the years, he was always in a good mood and a pleasure to talk to. He was a very kind man. I  am sure all of his clients that he worked with would agree.  Sending prayers and comfort to all of his family and friends   

I have many great memories of Uncle Art and his friendship with Uncle Cliff in the early Seventies.  He would pull into Cliff’s Citgo; I’d fill up his really nice car with gas (all realtors had big nice cars) ,they would tell some stories for awhile, and then go to lunch together, leaving me in charge. They seemed to be great brothers!

Dear Aunt Gert, cousins Mark, Mike,  Joe, Jana, Todd, Ted, and spouses and all descendants: my sympathy on your loss. Although it was this month last year that Art's brother/my dad died, I know it doesn't make me an expert at how you feel. Still, I at least have some inkling at the emotions of loss, sorrow, whatever you may feel. In any case, I just want to say that they looked so much like brothers that I'm sure more than one grandchild found themselves pulling on the pant-leg of the "wrong" grandpa at Mulder family events. But the similarity went further, as I'm sure Uncle Art was as good a dad and grandad as mine was, and was also well-regarded by the many people he encountered in his life. Again, my best wishes at this time of loss.

My sympathies and prayers for comfort for the whole family. 
I first met Art through him being Todd's dad and then spending many a Tuesday night bowling on the Family Restaurant team.  Art was a special man who loved to have fun, had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved his family and friends dearly.  He will be missed but his legacy and memories will live on. God bless Mrs. Mulder and the whole family and all their families.

I am writing on behalf of the staff at the Natural Health Improvement Center. We were so saddened to hear of Art's passing and will so miss him. He was such a gracious kind man and we considered it a privilege to be involved in his cancer care. We had just dubbed him the grandpa for the office.  I hope you have a wonderful time of remembrance with your family and friends. May you experience the comfort of knowing Art is with his Savior and Lord and has run the race well! 

We are so sorry to lose such a wonderful friend and loved spending time with you both in Puerto Vallarta and going out to eat here in Grandville too. I know he was so loved by his wife and large family and will be sorely missed by all. It makes me sad that he will no longer be around, but knowing he is at the marriage supper of the Lamb, smelling the fresh baked bread, and spending time in the presence of our Saviour and all who have gone on before is so comforting. We are praying that Father God will wrap his loving arms around you Gert and your family as you go through the process of releasing Art and laying him to rest. Know that you are so loved.
