David John Meulink

David John Meulink, age 65, entered into the arms of Jesus Saturday March 26, 2022 after a fall at his home in Byron Center. He was preceded in death by his father, John Meulink. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Helen Meulink; siblings Ken and Jane Meulink, Susan and Mike Hekstra, Steve and Judie Meulink; nieces and nephews Kristen and Jeff Sherwood, Kelly and Josh Rozema, Scott and Sarah Hekstra, Kaitlyn and Henry Higby, Karen and Chris Neumair, Jana and Aaron Eding, Susan and Nick Vera, John and Ashley Meulink, Megan and Tyler Groenewold, Benjamin Meulink, and Jacob Meulink; and several great-nieces and -nephews, extended family, and friends.

Dave worked as a walnut farmer on the family farm in Ripon, California. He later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to be closer to his family. He was known for his humor, artistic talents - including painting, drawing and playing musical instruments. He enjoyed his working career as a steel detailer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Caledonia Christian Reformed Church, 9957 Cherry Valley Ave. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316, with visitation one hour prior to the service. In memory of Dave and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dutton Christian Schools or Sacramento City Life Church. Dave will be laid to rest next to his dad, John, in Ripon Cemetery in Ripon, California on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10 a.m. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresbyron.com.
