Le sobreviven sus hijos Juan (María) García, Marcelo (María) García, María Isabel (Alberto) García, Rosalva Espiricueta, Esther (Jesús) Rebollar; nietos Juan Javier (Manuela) García, Jorgé García, Adrián (Amanda) García, Marco García, Maribel (Tomas) González, Ricardo (Cynthia) García, Cristal García, Alan García, Marisa (David) García, Luis (Carolina) García, Anabel (Daniel) García, Azucena García, Abraham (Carolina) García, Israel Espiricueta, Sandra (Alexis) Roman, Jessica Espiricueta, Rebecca Espiricueta, Emilio Rebollar, Rocio Rebollar; 32 bisnietos; hermanos Teresa López, Tiburcio López; y muchos familiares y amigos.

Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Benigno García; hija, Macaria García; yerno, Santiago Espiricueta; bisnieto, Ricardo García; y los hermanos María López, Cira López, Aurelia López, Amelia López, Encarnación López, Isauro López y Juana López.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 12-2 y 6-8 p.m. el martes 9 de mayo de 2023 en Cook Funeral Home (Byron Center Chapel), 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Se llevará a cabo un funeral para celebrar la vida de María a las 2 p.m. el miércoles 10 de mayo de 2023 en Cook Funeral Home (Byron Center Chapel) con visitas de 1-1:45 p.m. antes del servicio. Maria Cruz Lopez-DeGarcia, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 5, 2023. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, tending to her flowers, and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Juan (Maria) Garcia, Marcelo (Maria) Garcia, Maria Isabel (Alberto) Garcia, Rosalva Espiricueta, Esther (Jesús) Rebollar; grandchildren Juan Javier (Manuela) Garcia, Jorgé Garcia, Adrian (Amanda) Garcia, Marco Garcia, Maribel (Tomas) Gonzalez, Ricardo (Cynthia) Garcia, Cristal Garcia, Alan Garcia, Marisa (David) Garcia, Luis (Carolina) Garcia, Anabel (Daniel) Garcia, Azucena Garcia, Abraham (Carolina) Garcia, Israel Espiricueta, Sandra (Alexis) Roman, Jessica Espiricueta, Rebecca Espiricueta, Emilio Rebollar, Rocio Rebollar; 32 great-grandchildren; siblings Teresa Lopez, Tiburcio Lopez; and many extended relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Benigno Garcia; daughter, Macaria Garcia; son-in-law, Santiago Espiricueta; great-grandson, Ricardo Garcia; and siblings Maria Lopez, Cira Lopez, Aurelia Lopez, Amelia Lopez, Encarnacion Lopez, Isauro Lopez, and Juana Lopez.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (Byron Center

Chapel), 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. A funeral service celebrating Maria’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (Byron Center Chapel) with visitation from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
