Max was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and spent many years in the telecommunications field, building a long and dedicated career as a communications craftsman and later as a manager. He took pride in his work and was known for his reliability, skill, and steady presence.
Outside of work, he had a lifelong love for BMW motorcycles and could often be found riding, tinkering, or talking about them with genuine enthusiasm. He was extremely loving and had a special place in his heart for animals. Over the years, he shared his life with many dogs—especially his beloved boxers—and other pets who were deeply cared for. He showed his love through loyalty, consistency, and quiet strength, and he will be remembered for his kindness, his passions, and the way he made people feel safe and loved.
Celebration of Max’s life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, Michigan 49315. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresbyron.com in their guestbook online.
