Ron loved the Lord, loved his family and loved humor. He had a quick wit and sense of humor – which could garner a laugh in any setting. He was a family man, who loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and the numerous gatherings and holidays hosted at their place. Ron loved to dig into scripture and the Word, spending many hours on Saturday nights in preparation for Sunday school. He and Joan served for many years at Corinth as youth leaders and in the classrooms. He served for many years as an elder and on consistory at Corinth.
He had a mechanical mind and would work on engines, snowmobiles, and anything he could “wrench on.” Often he would take apart something broken, just to see if he could put it back together again. He worked for many years as a mechanic and later a parts manager at Caledonia Tractor. He would later go on to retire from Steelcase. He will be so deeply missed by those who knew him.
Ron is survived by his wife of 71 years, Joan Johnson; children Linda (Kim) Sinclair, Scott (Ingrid) Johnson, Paul (Dawn) Minor; grandchildren Jason (Heather) Minor, Amanda (Chad) Smits, Deanna Kisner, Nathan Minor, Drew (Lisa) Sinclair, Lindsey (Chris) Catiller, Kent (Julie) Sinclair, Tyler (Kourtney) Sinclair, Mikayla Johnson, Annika Johnson; great-grandchildren Deejay Minor, Logan (Danielle) Minor, Gabe Kisner, Kaly Kisner, Trey Kisner, Nicholas (Cassie Bush) Light, Jackson Smits, Nolan Catiller, Corban Catiller, Owen Catiller, Theo Catiller, Talia Catiller, Emma Sinclair, Ivy Sinclair; great-great-grandchildren Elijah Minor, Migwen Bush, Orla Bush; brother, Delbert Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ron is preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Lynne Minor; brother, Alan Johnson; sister, Ardene Rodenhouse; sister-in-law, Gloria Johnson; and parents Albert and Tena Johnson.
