Sharon Lee Stephens

She was born on December 23, 1941 in Grand Rapids to Marvin and Lillian Visser. She moved to Grandville when she was 13.

Sharon lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends. She was known for her warmth, strength, love of kids and animals. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; children Donald Jr. (Judy Hilley), Dawn and Ty Ferris, and Susan Stephens; grandchildren Lindsey and John Wiley, Daniel and Jennifer Ferris, and Jessica and Tyler Pratt. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Stephen, Sean, and Colin; Dilyn, Logan and Braden; Conner, Jeremy, and Emma. In addition, her brother, Richard (Lori) Visser; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Visser and parents Marvin and Lillian Visser.

Sharon found joy in traveling, photography, gardening, cooking, volunteering, music, and making countless memories with those she loved. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, with visitation one hour prior starting at 9:30 a.m., at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Msgr. William Duncan will be officiating. In honor of Sharon and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
