Sharon Ann Wiles (Bradley), born December 10, 1942 in Coldwater, Michigan passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Byron Center, Michigan. Daughter of Paul Myron Bradley and Mildred Irene McLatcher, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Craig; children Melissa (Carlos) and Craig (Jenny); siblings Ken, Rosemary, Lynne, and Jeff; and grandchildren Julia, Blake, Ethan, River, Madison, and Parker.
A graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A.) and Wayne State University (M.A.), she was a passionate English teacher, most notably in the Pontiac City School District where she taught English as a Second Language for many years to both children and adults. A strong and generous spirit, Sharon was happiest when she was surrounded by family, cooking too much food for as many people as possible. She leaves behind a trove of epic memories - from bonfires and beaches in Leelanau County, to holiday celebrations, and weekend getaways. Most of all, she passes on a legacy of cherished family traditions, where open arms, a warm heart, and silly stories will always include a second helping of dessert.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street SW, Byron Center, Michigan. There will be an additional viewing at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22 at First Presbyterian Church, 1320 S. Lakeview, Sturgis, Michigan, with a funeral service at 11 a.m., and interment at Oaklawn Cemetery. Luncheon will follow at First Presbyterian Church. In memory of Sharon and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresbyron.com.
