Teresa Shear, age 37, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, June 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ivan and Gayle Shear. She is survived by her children Christian Jayce and Kaydence Aria; parents James and Judith Shear; siblings Michael and Nikkie Shear (Grant, Kenzie, Ryker), Jeff and Megan Shear (Greyson); grandparents Joyce Hoffman, and Carl and Marie Veenstra; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Teresa was a loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. She had a gentle spirit and found joy in caring for people - which she was able to do in her work as a nurse. She had a contagious smile and a great sense of humor. She loved planning special trips for herself and her children, which often included family and friends. Teresa’s presence in the lives of so many will be missed.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Heritage CRC, 3089 84th St. SW, Byron Center, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at Heritage CRC, with visitation from 10-10:45 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Byron Center Christian School or to the family in support of her children (checks made out to Judy Shear will be deposited into an account for the children).
