

Alan is predeceased by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Brenda, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his children Alan (Katie) Murray, Shannon (Jeff) Gilchrist, and Daisy Murray, and forever cherished as “Papa” by his grandchildren Max and Sean. Survived by his loving siblings Maureen Ritza and Lester Murray, Alan is predeceased by his brother John. He will be remembered with love by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Alan lived a full life surrounded by the people and passions he held dear. A proud sports fan, he was an avid supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and enjoyed cheering on the Argonauts and Blue Jays. He also loved spending time relaxing with his favourite TV shows, from Big Brother to Hallmark movies. Alan and Brenda shared a love of travel, especially their cruises and many adventures abroad.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Alan was proud of his career at Toyota, where he worked from the opening of the plant until his retirement just a few years ago, after more than 20 years of service.
Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrew Street, Cambridge on Thursday, September 25 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m and on Friday, September 26 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 26 at 4:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at a later date.
