Catherine found eternal peace on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in her 61st year. Predeceased by her parents, Gerry (1984) and Mary (1996). Survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Keith; and her pride and joy, daughter Caitlin and partner, Leroy Morgado. Cherished sister to brothers: Gerald (Sonia); John (Paula); Robert (Lana); Greg (Gwen). Beloved "Grandma Kate" to Evelina. Catherine will also be missed by the Decker family; her nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and cousins. Catherine spent almost 40 years caring for others in her chosen career of nursing. She was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Church, an avid reader, and she enjoyed sewing and crafts. Catherine met the health challenges she faced throughout her life with courage, determination and a positive attitude that was admired by everyone who knew and loved her.
Friends and family will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, on Friday, February 1st, 2019 from 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm, with the Rosary to be held at 8:30pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Ambrose, 210 South St., Cambridge, on Saturday February 2nd, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at Newfoundland Club, 1500 Dunbar Rd., Cambridge.
