Passed away peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Cathy in her 63rd year, was surrounded by her loving family by her side on Sunday, April 20 2014. Loving wife of Gerald Murphy; mother of Lonnie (Penney) Murphy and grandmother of Alexandra Murphy. Dear daughter of Charles & Pearl Schmiedendorf; sister of Tom (Joanne) Schmiedendorf, Lori-Beth Vickery, Eric (Michele) Schmiedendorf. Sadly missed by the Murphy sisters and brothers and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Sean Murphy (1999). To honor Cathy’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a private memorial dinner held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation (Medical Daycare Onocology).
