After a 5 year courageous struggle with cancer, Clare passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday May 23rd, 2014 in his 67th year. Beloved husband to Margaret Johnstone; father to Michael (Sarah), Cameron (Chantal); stepfather to Jeff (Veronica), Linda (Jim), David (Gail) Tranter; grandpa to Ashley, Isabelle, Emily, Cassie, Rachelle, Kate, Jennifer (Chad), Jason, Yasmin, Khalil, Ben, Emma and Jacob; great grandpa to Matthew and Skye. Cherished son to Roy and Mary (deceased) Brown; brother to Connie (Paul) Morris; uncle to Cheryl and Jeff Morris. He will be missed by family and many friends, and fondly remembered for his love of playing the bagpipes. Clare was born in Rossland, B.C. Family will receive friends in the Lower Banquet Hall at the Old Marina Restaurant on Puslinch Lake Cambridge, for a Celebration of Clare’s Life on Saturday May 31st, 2014 at 2pm. Private family inurnment will take place at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.
