To my Dear Friends. I am truly saddened by the loss of our beloved Nana. Such a beautiful soul. I likened her to the original Martha Stewart. She welcomed me into her family and treated me as her own. I will forever be grateful to her for teaching me how  to bake and prune roses. Not one to gatekeep her amazing recipes, my children now  enjoy Nana's cookies. Sorry Nana, I never developed a green thumb but you really tried.  Your love and joy in the small pleasures of life is an inspiration.

I am very sorry to hear of Doreen’s passing . She was a very sweet lady . I have fond memories of working with her in my early career at Chudleighs  . She was so kind and patient teaching us how to roll pasty and make apple pies .   My condolences to all of her family .

Sending our deepest sympathy to the family.  Doreen was the first one to welcome us to the neighbourhood in 2001,  She was the sweetest lady ever.  We used to have tea together and she always welcomed a chat to catch up with her family.  We felt blessed just knowing her.

We were sorry to hear of Doreen's passing.  Reading the obituary brought back memories of my childhood visits with Doreen and Alex.  Especially her scones, the recipe for which, she shared with Diane and I.  She sent my mother a baby card when I was born and continued to send me birthday cards for the next 75 years.  She was always interested in what was going on in our lives. Our condolences to you Debbie, and your family.

Doreen was one of my mother’s oldest and dearest friends. I have many fond childhood memories of Doreen and the “girls club” that met every Wednesday evening for crafts and fellowship. As Alex would sometimes travel for his work, Doreen would occasionally invite me over for the weekend. I remember one “sleep-over” when Doreen was ironing, and I volunteered to iron some pillowcases (people did that in the old days). Of course, I had never ironed before and I scorched the pillowcase beyond repair. Doreen, in her gracious manner, claimed she set the iron on too hot a setting and took the blame for my mistake. She was just that kind of person who always put others at ease. Later, when Doreen had settled in Ontario, she and Mom still kept in touch with regular phone calls and I too enjoyed chatting with Doreen about once a month. I looked forward to hearing about her horticultural meetings and how Deb’s and Paul’s girls were doing.  Then, when Mom started showing signs of dementia, Doreen’s support was immeasurable. I am truly fortunate to have had Doreen in my life.

She was indeed blessed with the best family ever who loved her beyond words. So many amazing memories. No regrets . I pray that you continue to support each other as you navigate this grief journey. Truly saddened by the news of Mrs. Mac's passing. Positive, upbeat, always a welcoming smile. She was one of those rare people that made you feel better for having known her. We'll treasure our memories of her and her stories of her upbringing in "Winterpeg". 
You had a good run Mrs.Mac, rest easy.

We will remember Doreen for so many things….her love of family, her sense of humour and her sharp wit, her spirit of adventure and her amazing memory well into her 90s. We were fortunate to share many vacations with Doreen and the Westacott family.  Doreen was a proud member of the traveling  “Camcotts” 😊

We are grateful for the opportunity to have known and loved her.  We take comfort that Doreen is now with her loving husband and know that she will continue to watch over her amazing family especially her beloved daughter Deb.

To the McMillan family,

My heart breaks for all of you.  I have known Doreen from the Bank of Montreal,  Where I have had the pleasure and honor of serving Doreen for the past 10 years. I know I am supposed to not have favorites but Doreen was mine. She was simply a joy and I will miss her so very much  Again my heartfelt condolences to all of you.
