Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Friday January 3, 2014 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Judy Oliver. Loving father of Cheryl Becker (Greg) of Zurich. Also survived by his mother Hazel Dowson, grandchildren Mathew and Kelsey, sister Marjorie Consitt and brother –in-law Bill Consitt , Brother –in-law of Ken Caldwell, Phil White, Les Oliver (Louise), and sister-in-law Pat Oliver. Predeceased by his father Cecil Dowson,and 2 sisters Coreen Caldwell, and Sharon White. Doug was born on May 20, 1944, and has lived in Cambridge for the past 45 year. Former owner of Grand River Toyota. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge, on Wednesday January 8, 2014 from 1 P. M. until 2 P. M. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2 P. M. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy donations to Lisaard House or Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
