Wife of Bernard (deceased 2004). Born 1927 in Halfweg (Amsterdam), the Netherlands, to late William and Aafje (Roemer) Den Hann with late sisters Corrie, Jean and Trudy. Dear mother of Annetta and Juergen Demsky, Randy & Liz Berends, Hilde & Steve Wyse, William & Karen Berends, and Nina Berends. Loving grandmother of Ryan, Victoria, Conor, Jake, Ian and Sean. She was predeceased by husband Bernard, daughters Hilde and Nina.
Eileen emigrated with family to Hamilton, Ontario in 1952, initially employed at St. Joseph’s hospital as a lab technician. She married Bernard on January 24, 1958. Living in Hamilton (1958), Windsor (1962) and Cambridge (2009).
Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 Andrew St., Cambridge on Sunday, October 12, 2025, 12-2pm. The internment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
