We are heartbroken to announce the death of Franco Liani - a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, son & brother. Franco passed away peacefully at home on February 11th 2025, surrounded by the enormous love of his family.
Franco leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Catherine Liani. He will be forever missed by his daughter Tracey. He was a treasured “GG” to his granddaughter Isabella . He also leaves behind his mother Anna Maria; his sister Marinella; Brother-in-laws Ray, & Tony, Sister in-laws, Cheryl, Barbara & Cindy, nieces Chantel and Amanda; nephews Michael, Steven and David; and their wife's Shannon & Jesscia and great-niece Amaya.
Franco is now reunited with his father Sergio, and with his beloved son Bradley (2016).
He spent his free time immersing himself in the peacefulness of the outdoors – as an avid golfer and fisherman, he was at his happiest with a club in his hand or a fishing rod in the water. His love for sports extended to his unwavering loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Detroit Red Wings. His happy place was Maui, which he would travel with his wife.
Those who were lucky enough to know Franco will attest to his incredible culinary talent. He was a master in the kitchen, specializing in Italian and comfort foods. His spaghetti, chicken parmesan, and cabbage rolls in particular were legendary.
The family invites all who knew and loved him to join them in celebrating his life. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15th, from 12:00 am – 1:00 pm, at T. Little Funeral Home; funeral service to follow in the chapel.
Everyone is welcome to join us for a Reception after the Service at 650 Saginaw Parkway - for any further information or directions call Sandy @ 226-218-1062. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sickkids are greatly appreciated.
