Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday February 23, 2016 in his 80th year. Beloved father of Kevin of Thornhill, Keith of Sharon, Michelle Medley (Stephen) of Sharon, Deirde Thornington (Paul) of Thornhill. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Marianne, Timothy and Malcolm, great grandchildren Austin and Amber. Also survived by brothers Bill of Lindsay, Jason (Lourdes) of Cambridge, and sisters Susie Tucker of Sault Ste. Marie, and Margaret Klonowski (pred. Frank) of Beaverton. Predeceased by his parents Claude and Stella Day, his brother Michael Day, and his sister Joyce McCue. Gerald was born on January 10, 1937 at Nakina, Ontario. The family will receive friends and relatives at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge on Friday February 26, 2016 from 2-4 P. M. for a Memorial Visitation. Cremation has taken place.
