Passed away peacefully at Hilltop Manor on Wednesday February 10, 2016 in his 89th year. Loving father of Janice (Clyde Warrington) of Cambridge, Greg (Gail) of Hensall. Also survived by his grandchildren William, Katie, Blake and Leanna, and great grandchildren Trystan, Ezra, Broderick and Bauer. Predeceased by his wife Irene (nee Orr) and 3 brothers James, Wilfred and Barry. Howard was born in Toronto on July 8, 1927, and has lived in Cambridge since 1964. Howard was retired from the Cambridge Reporter, a member of Alma Lodge No. 72. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Monday February 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at 11 A. M. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery. A memorial service will be held by Alma Lodge No. 72 at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6 P. M. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
