J.P. was a loving father to Josee Dupuis (Julian Fabiani) and Ronald (Melissa) Dupuis, and a proud Papa to Charley, Abigail, Addison, and Arianna, who were truly the pride and joy of his life. He was a dear brother to Omer (Linda) Dupuis and Michelle Kingsley. J.P. was predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Gaetane (née Prevost), and his sisters Nicole and Jo-Anne. J.P. will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his extended family and large circle of friends.
A devoted grandfather, J.P. absolutely adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. He enjoyed fishing, golf, and also loved playing darts. He faithfully met with a group of friends every Monday, a tradition he truly looked forward to. J.P. had a special love for driving. It was not uncommon for him to hop in the car, drive several hours to visit family or friends, and return home the very same day.
Above all else, J.P.’s greatest joy came from being Santa Claus. He loved volunteering as Santa for children and embraced everything about Christmas. It was his favourite time of year, and he truly embodied the spirit of the season through his generosity, warmth, and love for bringing joy to others.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made in J.P.’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada, or Friends with Hearts (a group working together to restore the magic of Christmas to families in need) would be greatly appreciated.
