It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of a great husband, father, grandfather and true friend to all. Loving husband to Emilia for 49 years. Adored father to Maria (Scott) Boyd and Joe (Myriam) Furtado. Avô to Emily, Jody, Ryan, Tyler, Jillian, and Nicole. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Nilda Furtado (2002). Born in the Azores, Joe came to Canada in 1967. He was a long-time employee of Cambridge Towel. Joe is well known for his passion for gardening. Kind, warm, and good-hearted, Joe impacted those he encountered in ways which will not soon be forgotten. Friends are invited to call at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge from 5 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Rosary at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. Donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society would be greatly appreciated.
