Where’s Santa
Santa’s not real, at school I was told,
It’s hard to believe when you’re six years old.
I got to my home feeling mixed up and sad,
Until I had a long talk with my Dad.
He said an old man, a long time ago,
Gave toys to children, with faces aglow.
Each Christmas they got a toy or a game,
From a little old man, not knowing his name.
When the old man passed on, when his poor heart did pause,
The people gave him a name – Santa Claus.
Now at Christmas we think of the kind little man,
And give presents to each other as best as we can.
So when I see Santa, I know it’s all right,
It makes me happy on Christmas Eve night,
‘Cause I know it’s a man just playing a part,
Santa’s in heaven and here in my heart.
