It is with heavy hearts that we announce Linda’s passing on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 in her 76th year at St. Joseph's Health Centre, after a valiant six-year battle with cancer. Linda's unwavering courage and resilience throughout her journey redefined the essence of strength. She now rests peacefully, reunited with her beloved son, Kevin, who preceded her in 2018.
Linda, the cherished wife of Bill, shared nearly 55 years of loving marriage and devotion with him. She was a devoted mother to Robert and his wife Jillian, and a proud grandma to Garret, Charles, and Sarah. Preceded in death by her parents, Edith and George Teather, and her stepfathers, Bob Nairn and Harvey Wenzel. Linda's warmth and kindness touched the lives of her extended family and countless friends. She will be deeply missed by her loyal fur baby, Carly.
An avid animal lover, Linda found joy in watching birds and nurturing all creatures great and small. Her passion for travel, particularly RV camping trips, took her to cherished destinations like Vancouver, Newfoundland, and Florida.
In accordance with her wishes, Linda's cremation has taken place, and visitation will be at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge starting at noon on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024. Memorial Service will be held following the visitation starting at 1:00pm. A gathering for fellowship and refreshments will follow the service. Linda will be laid to rest at Parklawn Cemetery alongside her son, Kevin, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or to The Cambridge and District Humane Society.
Many thanks forwarded to doctors, nurses and staff at several Hamilton, Kitchener, Guelph and Cambridge hospitals over the past six years. Also, many thanks to the many support workers who cared for her at home.
