It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lorne announce his passing on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Guelph General Hospital in his 92nd year. Loving father to Deb Davidson and Gary Cooper. Proud Poppy to Chad (Ashley) and Drew (Trista) Davidson. Cherished friend of Madelaine Tremblett and her family. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Annie Cooper, brothers: Lloyd, Harold, Alf and sisters Marion, Isobel, Helen and Ina. Lorne is a proud WWII veteran and longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion – Galt Branch 121. Friends and family will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers will be recited on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 8:30pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at St. Patrick’s RC Church, 53 Wellington Street, Cambridge at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion – Poppy Fund in Lorne’s memory.
