Mary Loretta Ryan

Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 5, 2015, in her 94th year. She was born on Bell Island, NFLD on June 1st 1921. Mary and Mike moved to Galt, Ontario (God’s Country) in 1963 with her family. Mary is predeceased by her husband Michael (1986). She was a great Mom to her children Tom (Helen), the late Mick (1998) (Gail), Don (Rose), Mart (Patti), the late Dave (1996) (Marilyn and Les Asselstine), Ray (Linda), Patricia Kavanagh (Mart), Jim (Lynn), Kevin (Sue), Howard, Alice Laslo (Kelly)and Ronnie (Kathy). Survived by her siblings Tom, Betty, Eleanor, Diane, Daphne and Sonia. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Alice (Sarah)Neary and by her siblings Annie, Pat, Alice and Shirley. Mary was a devoted Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Great Grandma. She was also a devoted Catholic, loved knitting mitts, making homemade bread and brownies. Anyone who knew Mary, loved her. She loved telling jokes and making people laugh. She could bring a smile to anyone’s face. Mary loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Mary’s family will receive their friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Gregory’s RC Church, 10 St. Gregory’s Drive, Cambridge on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11am. Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
