

Passed away peacefully at Stirling Heights Nursing Home on Sunday, November 10, 2013 in her 92nd year. Survived by her loving daughter Jane and son-in-law Donald McLeod, granddaughter Tracy Jane, and grandson Tom and his wife Jaime all of Cambridge. Proud great-grandmother of Sydney, Spencer, Seth, Saydey, Logan, Taiden, and Sawyer. Olive leaves several nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.K. to mourn her loss. Predeceased by her husband Thomas (1999), her son John (1971), parents Henry and Hannah Hindle, and sisters Dorothy, Ivy, Mabel, and Marjorie. Olive was born in Wolverhampton, Straffordsire, England on April 9, 1922. She served with the British forces during the Second World War in London, England. Olive’s passions included gardening, sewing and painting; she worked at Savage Shoes and Wooley Shoes for many years. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the angels and staff of the Stirling Heights Long Term Care Nursing Home, Cambridge, Ontario for taking such good care of Olive during the past ten years. Also to Rev. Frank Squires for his comfort and support at the end of Mom’s life and for leading the Dove Service. At Mom’s request cremation has taken place. Memorial Service to be held at Westside (formerly St. Andrew’s) Presbyterian Church, 130 Victoria Street, Cambridge on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. M. Gaskin and Brother Mark (Rev. J. McIntosh). Donations to the Epilepsy Society of Ontario or the Diabetic Association would be appreciated by the family.
