

With great sadness, the family announces Bob passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Angie for 19 wonderful years. Loving father to Rob (Mina), Rebecca (Khan), Richard and Roslynn (Dan). Proud grandfather of Olivia, Amelia, River, Mary, Yasin, Hanifah, and Ahmed. He will also be missed by his nephew David Brain. Predeceased by wife Barbara Brain (1986), parents Horace (The Goose) and Grace Brain and siblings Arnold and Connie. Bob lived a life of sports, playing for the Galt Terriers, boxing for 6 years and coaching Jr. Hardball. He taught at Flesherton Highschool for 6 years and then for the remainder of his career at Paris High, teaching Phys Ed, Health and History where he also coached basketball and volleyball. When he retired, he coached the Cambridge Bulldogs and was a member of the Soper Park Tennis Club. Bob’s family wish to thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Health, St. Joseph Healthcare and Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and support. Visitation will take place at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Thursday, May 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Sheffield Lions Club or the Mark Preece Family House in Hamiliton would be appreciated by his family.
