My name is Jane Hook. I saw the notice of memorium poem to Rose in the Cambridge Times by George this Friday past, I was flabbergasted to find that Rose is gone. I did not know that she had cancer. :O(

I met Rose in 1982 at Courtside Racquets club in Cambridge when I returned to Canada after a year away in England. She was the first person I met when I returned. Her her smile, just like on her picture, was gentle and radiant and welcoming. I soon began to work at the tennis club and enjoyed knowing Rose and her brothers Moss and Dario.  She was a warm and beautiful person...and one heck of a tennis player. 

It is a sadder place in the world knowing that Rose is not in it. I wish you all my condolences and hope you are managing with a storehouse of memories and a love between you all that will always live on.

Rose came to Memphis, TN on a tennis scholarship to play at the University of Memphis. She was there for 4 years and was dearly loved by each teammate. I loved her so much she became like a daughter to me. Such a kind, loving, sweet lady. She was so dedicated and felt so thankful to have a scholarship. I was able to visit with Rose several years ago as I traveled to Toronto to recruit a player from the area. I will always cherish that time I had with her after 30+ years without seeing her. She was certainly a very special lady and her friendship means the world to me. Rest in peace sweet Rose and I will see you in heaven one day. Love, Miss Pete

I miss my friend 💕 I planted a beautiful hydrangea for Rose and will never forget how special she was to me!!

I am so sorry to hear of Rose's passing.  I too am a collegue from CMH who was blessed to have known Rose, and was the recipient of her warm smile and caring nature.  Rose is a  wonderful example of always being positive and looking for the good in everyone and everything. This is my memory of her that i will cherish always.  Thank you for sharing Rose with us, our patients and their families. Peace be with you.   

Memories and love for sweet Rosie abound in my mind, heart and soul!
Our friendship and love is grounded from many different times in our lives as we have known each other since kindergarten. The foundation of friendship is based on great pillars of strength that grew over time with our friendship. I could write so much more, but here are three things to share for today.

1. Rose was always so welcoming and came from a warm, loving family. Starting from elementary school, she welcomed me to her home. For example, I treasured Wednesday night pasta night with this wonderful family who were kind beyond belief and always had great food. Rose shared & radiated excitement and true fun. Many people have experienced the joy & kindness of being with Rose and her brothers and parents. I know even this last Christmas she made Christmas dinner for her & George’s family.  

2. After graduating from college and working in our adult lives, whenever we came home from the States, it was always important to try to see and be with Rose. It was a blessing to visit if we could... She was generous, would always prepare food (even if we weren’t coming for dinner). We would talk, commiserate , laugh and again share great excitement of memories of all the friends we had and all the sports we played together.

3. We were welcomed to pray and worship with Rose. After witnessing the strength she found in Jesus and in Grace Bible Church for supporting her family and for strength in fighting cancer, she would welcome anyone to share in the great love of God that she knew she could lean on. We would join her on Sundays. And the love of God and spirit of Christ was always present. 

Thank you Rose for your love and your friendship and for sharing this and so much more that I, Tim, Alexandra & Christiana will keep in our hearts & souls forever. 

Praying for your perpetual peace and comforting memories for your family...

To our dear, sweet, beautiful Rose, I will always cherish the wonderful memories we had growing up next door to each other.  As a little girl I remember you would let me tag along with you to the Bubble to play tennis...it was always fun to watch you and your brothers play. I also cherish all the wonderful summer days our families and friends spent together at the beach, and the many summer evenings our parents would gather in front of your house while all of us kids, big and small, ran around and played well into the night. Most of all though I will always remember your caring nature and beautiful smile. I was truly blessed to have you as my Comare and we will miss you dearly. Rest in peace my dear Comare Rose.

I got to know Rose when she would take her little Lucy to the neighbourhood park.  As our dogs wondered around, Rose and I would have some good chit chats.  I'm so glad that because of our dogs,  I  got to meet Rose. 
She was a warm, caring, beautiful lady.  Her smile brightened your day.  Rest in peace my dear Rose. 🌹

So sorry to here of her passing. We had some great talks in the halls of CMH, catching up on the family and life, always a laugh or two, so full of life,she will be missed!!

Rose was our friend and neighbour for almost 20 years. She was a brightening star with her smile.  Our hearts are filled with memories; our eyes are full of tears. Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. George, Nikki and Sara, we are thinking of you and you are in our thoughts and prayers.   There are no goodbyes for us. Dear Rose, wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts.

My sister Lisa passed along the sad news of Rose’s passing. Rose was a friend and classmate. Seeing these messages and pictures brings back great memories of the Rose I remember as a perpetually happy, bright and talented person. My heartfelt thoughts, best wishes and prayers go out to Rose’s family and friends.

I worked with Rose at CMH when she was in the staffing office, clerk on 5B and then Patient Accounts. She was always so friendly to everyone no matter how busy she was. Her soft spoken voice, I will always remember.

Tucker and I visited with Rose and Sandy every week at CMH.  We use to laugh because Rose would bring treats for Tucker ( who was 125 lbs) and the treats would be about the size of a pea because she was use to curing them up for her fur baby.  Tuck would lose them in his mouth  ❤️❤️❤️ Going to miss your smile Rose   Say hi to Tucker in heaven ❤️❤️❤️

I feel lucky, blessed to be able to say that I had Rose Warner as a friend.  Not long enough though   :**(

I will miss her laugh as she touches your shoulder or arm, depending on your height. lol..... I loved that about Rose, she always had time to stop at Zehrs or wherever and share a story and a laugh.  Seems we had lots to laugh about !

Her smile*no matter what*no matter when.
Sick or not sick, it did not matter she always gave you that beautiful smile.

I taught Rose at Monsignor Doyle in the late 1970’s. A very good student and an incredibly talented athlete in many sports. She was always determined to do her best. I recall her serving an entire set of volleyball, 15 straight points. 
We visited a few years ago at St Benedict and she was still the same Rose that I remembered.
